In North Augusta, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in South Carolina, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–4:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (803) 279-9497. Not sure if it was a bad day or something, but the man running the shop here was crazy rude. Seemed pretty overly sensitive/insecure about his plant knowledge too.

Mary was pretty rude when we asked her to help us make a planter. She said, "I don't have time for that." She then proceeded to tell my husband she needed the chair he was sitting in because she had to go eat. Very unprofessional. We left shortly after that and took our business elsewhere.

The Owner's mother also helped me with my apartment community with an beautiful design, while her son gave us the right products to use and showed us how to plant. The plants were very healthy and also withstood transplanting when we had to move them.

For years now I have been buying all of my landscaping plants and shrubs from Lowe’s, and I get most of them from the discount rack at around 40% off. I’ve been mostly pleased with my purchases and still appreciate the store ( just not the line that consistently requires patience πŸ™„)With that being said, it is no longer my favorite go-to place to purchase flowers and shrubs. North Augusta Feed and Seed exceeds in quality significantly without costing any extra. The plants have cost me less as a whole and make a bigger statement in my yard. It is a family owned small business so customer service is consistently impressive with no long lines to deal with. They offer annuals and perennials from Celosia to Hydrangeas as well as tropical plants and herbs. Lavender, Rosemary, Basil as well as Aloe Vera and Tomato plants. Many times I even have to ask about certain plants that I’ve never seen before which is amazing to me! Inside you can find planters, fertilizer, and even homemade jams that are gift worthy. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a special flowering gift for a loved one or if you want some exquisite perennial beauties to add to your yard without breaki

This place is awesome. Got me some Golden Shrimp plants to try out. Never heard of them before but they sure were neat. Also got some other flowers for the wife and some different jellies.
